Johanna Jacobi is a multi-disciplinary artist working with words on page and stage, contemporary movement and puppetry.

With a background in dance, and trained at Rose Bruford College in London and the Academy of Performing Arts in Bratislava, she’s especially interested in how the ritual of performance and the power of the arts can provide spaces for processing the pain and joy, gifts and pressures of our material and digital lives.

At home in the South of Germany, Johanna works as an actor-performer and theatre maker, and as a feature and copy writer for creative, sustainable, and social enterprises.

She is inspired by the rhythms of nature, Judy Garland, ancient European civilisations and myths, Pina Bausch, rock and folk music, Stephen Sondheim, and the courageous people who dare to hope and dance and sing on a wounded Earth.
