Johanna Jacobi is an actor-performer, puppeteer, theatre maker and movement artist who works in dramatic, as well as post-dramatic and devised contexts. With a background in dance, singing and acting, she trained at Rose Bruford College in London and Bratislava Academy of Performing Arts (VŠMU) as an actor and theatre maker. From 2021 she lived and worked in the UK and Munich as an actor, voice artist, workshop facilitator, and directing assistant. During the seasons of 23/24 and 24/25 she is on tour across Germany and Switzerland with Und wenn wir alle zusammenziehen?, an a.gon theatre production.
As a theatre artist Johanna is particularly curious about the theatre as a space for processing and ritual, for collective home coming to body, mind and soul in an increasingly restless and digitalised world. She feels enlivened by the power of theatre to enchant and confront, and the sharp vision of film in illustrating our relationships to each other and the living world.
